The “Digital Doors Open Virtual Environment” (DOVE) will provide remote access to Doors Open Days Venues, enhancing both the physical and virtual Doors Open programmes.

Doors Open Days, organised every September by the Scottish Civic Trust, celebrated its 30^th anniversary in 2019 when over 250,000 of free visits were made to over 1,000 that are usually either closed to the public or charge an entrance fee and was supported by the work of over 6,000 volunteers.

The interactive mapping interface and user workshops will significantly enhance the reach of Doors Open Days, making Scotland’s cultural heritage more accessible to a wider range of people, engaging new audiences, as well as welcoming national and international virtual visitors.
