Cowane’s Hospital
"<p>49 St John Street, Stirling FK8 1ED<\/p><p> <\/p><p>This Category A Listed hospital building at the Top of the Town was designed by John Mylne in 1639 and founded by John Cowane for poor members of the local Merchant Guild. Originally two storeys inside it was altered in 1852 to form a guildhall with balcony, gallery and elongated windows in the main hall.
