<dc:title>Carsphairn Parish Church</dc:title>
<dc:description><p>Attractive and dignified, this church is today a simple whitewashed building. It replaced a much old building, which was destroyed in fire. The church has a central communion table, one of the very few in Scotland. There is a plaque to John Semple, the parish minister who upheld Covenanting beliefs during 'The Killing Times' in the late 17th century, as well as early communion tokens and a photograph showing the miners' gallery that was used by local miners. </p></dc:description>
