    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[<p>Situated by the Lockerbie Air Disaster Memorial and Garden of Remembrance Dryfesdale Lodge Visitors’ Centre is not just a memorial to the disaster but is also a tribute to the tight-knit community of Lockerbie. Since opening, the centre welcomes many thousands of visitors from home and abroad each year.</p><p>There are two exhibition rooms in the lodge and also the Dryfesdale Room that is used as a quiet room for visitors to reflect. The first exhibition room houses a permanent exhibition on the history of Lockerbie stretching from its pre-historic origins to 1988’s terrorist attack and beyond. The second exhibition room hosts a number of exhibitions throughout the year ranging from the history of Curling in Lockerbie to work done by the local Spinners Weavers and Dyers.</p><p>The Lockerbie Air Disaster Memorial sits within the tranquil setting of the Garden of Remembrance at the far end of Dryfesdale Cemetery.
