Work began in 1995. It was officially opened in January 1999. Facilities are considered to be second to none in Scotland. Showpiece of post-modern educational building, the complex features a multisensory room, hydrotherapy pool, kitchen, dance studio and IT area, as well as a library and integrated special needs room called 'Aird'.
