The CatStrand

The CatStrand is an award-winning arts and community centre in the heart of the Glenkens, presenting a high quality programme of arts events and activities, workshops and learning as well as information for locals and tourists.

2018 The CatStrand is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Glenkens Community Arts Trust. There’s also a trip down memory lane with ten years of GCAT in our photographic exhibition. So open the door and enjoy a real celebration of events on offer at The CatStrand.

Take the A713 from Castle Douglas and turn left at the Ken Bridge and follow the A712 into New Galloway. Take the A713 from Ayr travel through Carsphairn and St John’s Town Dalry and turn right at Ken Bridge and follow the A712 into New Galloway. Take a left on the first junction past Newton Stewart (A75 Dumfries direction) and travel on the A712 to New Galloway. Parking at the front of The CatStrand and on the High Street.
