Built in 1785 as a cotton mill powered by the great mill wheel, the 'Roaring Birtwistle', the Mill on the Fleet is now restored as a visitor centre in an idyllic riverside setting. Exhibition gallery, picture gallery, riverside cafe and local crafts and gifts shop. Treefest Photography Competition winners' work displayed, and a new willow sculpture, specially commissioned to celebrate Treefest 2002.
