Whithorn's Pilgrim and Trade Routes

Whithorn is associated with Scotland's first Saint, Ninian. The Christian settlement became a famous pilgrimage site with commoners and kings visiting the shrine of St Ninian. The routes across the sea bore trade goods as well as pilgrims.

On Sunday 28th September there will be storyteling and a treasure hunt on the theme of trade routes, suitable for the whole family. The event will take place out on the dig site weather permitting, otherwise it will continue indoors.
