St Joseph's Parish Church
Dublin Core
Title
St Joseph's Parish Church
Description
The building now occupied by the Catholic parishoners of St Joseph's was originally built as Milngavie and Baldernock United Free Church in 1896. Later it became St Luke's (Church of Scotland). In 1976 it became the third successive place of worship for the Roman Catholic community of St Joseph's, Milngavie. The first had been established in Woodlands street in 1872, moving to Ladywood in 1935.
The church features two listed stained glass windows featuring Mary and Child, and St Joseph; they were designed by Sister Callista McGeehan.
