East Renfrewshire District Courthouse is located beside Giffnock Police Station on Braidholm Road. The job of the District Court is to hear criminal cases, such as road traffic offences, breach of the peace, shoplifting or minor assaults. The Police Station and Courthouse were built in 1915, although the architect and builder are unknown.
