11 South Charlotte Street, built ensuite with No 15 South Charlotte Street, is a significant surviving part of the original fabric of Edinburgh's New Town, one of the most important and best-preserved examples of urban planning in Britain. South Charlotte Street is also important for its contribution to the setting of Charlotte Square.� Built c. 1790, the ground floor apartments of this former classical tenement have been re-appropriated as a design studio for HarrisonStevens Landscape Architects.
