The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art comprises two buildings � Modern One and Modern Two, the latter housing the Archives and Library. The Modern Two building was originally an orphanage, and was converted to a gallery space in the late 20th century. The Archives and Library house an unrivalled collection of works on paper and an extensive library, and is usually open only by appointment.�
