Carron Phoenix is the successor of the old Carron Company, and today is the world's largest manufacturer of granite sinks, a fascinating and complex process; and the UK's largest manufacturer of stainless steel sinks, which is an exercise in automation with robots working alongside staff.

Visitors to the works will have the opportunity to compare this 21st century technology with the internal canal system used in the 1760s to transport heavy cast iron goods.
