Pollok House

Dublin Core

Title

Pollok House

Description

Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Maxwell family. The present house dates from around 1752 and contains one of the finest collections of Spanish art in the United Kingdom together with furniture and furnishings appropriate to an Edwardian country house.

Friendly guides are always on hand to entertain children (and adults alike!) with stories about the houses contents and inhabitants.

Outside, youre spoilt for choice. Pollok House is set in the middle of Pollok Country Park, which is the perfect place for young explorers to roam in the woods, splash about next to the river or swing in the adventure playground. Make sure you take them to visit the Highland cattle on the way.
