Find out about his business and the baking of the once renowned Crossmyloof Bread!</p><p>Little known philanthropist Neale Thomson took over his father and grandfather's cotton business in the Gorbals in 1843. Shocked by the poor quality of bread available to his workers, he set up the Crossmyloof Bakery to provide them with decently made affordable loaves. Soon there was so much demand for it that the bakery grew in size, with outlets all over the city where people queued for the famous Crossmyloof Bread!
