WALK - Broomhill Heritage Trail

Dublin Core

Title

WALK - Broomhill Heritage Trail

Description

Discover how Broomhill has developed since 1850. Witness its many fine buildings and its hidden railway.

Broomhill is sandwiched between Partick, Hyndland and Victoria Park. The trail starts at the easily accessible Hyndland station and goes in a loop through the Broomhill Conservation area, looking at many fine late Victorian and Edwardian tenements and buildings. There are a couple of modern buildings too. You also get a chance to see what remains of the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway and how its closure in 1970 altered Broomhill.

The walk will also be done as part of the West End Festival.
