GCHT "Mini City Break" health walk 3: Royal Exchange Square to John Street

Get away for your desk and get active at lunch time by having a gander along Ingram Street with Niall Murphy, Deputy Director of Glasgow City Heritage Trust.

Ingram Street and John Street's are two of the key streets within Glasgow's Merchant City. Highlights include the link between Paris's Arc du Triomphe and the Monument to the Duke of Wellington; Corinthian's connection to Liverpool; Sir JJ Burnet's baroque TSB Banking Hall; one of the finest examples of Post-Modernism in the UK; the decadence of Versailles comes to Glasgow; and, the paired Triumphal Arches of John Street - one of the great moments in 20th Century Scottish architecture.
