Barkly House

Description

Barkly House is one of a number of merchant's houses in Cromarty, constructed at the end of the 18th / early 19th century.  It stood roofless following a fire in the early 1980's and was on the Scottish Civic Trust's 'Buildings At Risk Register'.  It has recently been sensitively repaired, restored and extended by the present owners.
