Description

The Lodge of Freemasons in Cromarty was established in 1774 and named after its founder Donald Robertson. The present building opened in 1914 following a revival of the Freemasons in Cromarty under John Thomson. A carved stone taken from the earlier lodge in Bank Street, and incorporated into this, is said to have been carved by Hugh Miller.
