Dunolly House is situated at the eastern-most tip of the Caledonian Canal beside the junction between the Beauly Firth and the sealock gates. The house was built in the early 19th century and was used by engineers inspecting the build of the eastern section of the canal, later becoming accommodation for the Canal Manager. Details of the period - such as the lovely shutters, the fanlight and fanciful chimneypieces - remain. Dunolly House was refurbished in 2012-2013 as part of the Vivat Trust's partnership with Scottish Canals.
