Over the centuries the mansion has grown like Topsy and finally predominantly re-modelled in Baronial manner by David Bryce, 1858-9. However, the core is the 1602 tower house overlooking the Cullen Burn gorge and the ensuing additions and alterations over the years from a veritable roll call of Scottish architects.
