Built in 1805 for John Gordon Peterkin and continuously owned by the same family ever since. Said to be designed by William Stark but extensively altered in 1837 and 1898, although the fine original public rooms remain. Interesting c 1800 2-tier stone hexagonal dovecote nearby.
