Description
Glenlivet is the largest property owned by the Crown Estate encompassing an area of 58,000 acres. From the 16-20C, Glenlivet belonged to the Gordon family, later the Dukes of Richmond and Gordon who owned most of the southern part of Banffshire until the 1900s. It became the property of the Crown Estate in 1937 and is now run as a highly integrated multiple-use upland estate.
