Title
Coupar Angus Tolbooth Steeple
Description
Built in 1762 by public subscription this was the meeting place for the town committee and courthouse for the Justice of the Peace, with the lower portion of the steeple used as a gaol. The building is six storeys high with a tall roof slated in a fish scale pattern. It houses the town clock, and those who climb the steep staircase are rewarded with fine views over Coupar Angus.
