Shutters Open 2009 is a chance for you to send us photographs of your experience of Doors Open Days 2009.
Perhaps you've captured a building from an unusual perspective, or maybe an exquisite architectural detail has caught your eye. We want to know how you have experienced Doors Open Days.
PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS as photography is not permitted inside some buildings.

Photographs can be entered in youth (under 16 years) or adult (16+ years) categories - maximum 3 images per entrant.
Entry instructions
Photos must be submitted in digital Jpeg (.jpg) format image file size limit 2MB and/or approximately 3000x2000 pixels
send a separate email for each image (up to 3 per entrant) to infrastructure@shetland.gov.uk include "Shutters Open 2009" in the subject of your email
in your email include your name, age (if under 16), address and please make sure you have permission from any members of the public included in the image and confirm this to us.
Closing date for entries: 1pm, Friday 11th September 2009
Judging
Entries will be judged by local photographers Austin Taylor and John Carolan assisted by Doors Open Days coordinator Marjolein Robertson
Exhibition
The winning photographs will be exhibited at the Shetland Museum and Archives from 18th September.
Terms and Conditions
Copyright remains exclusively with the authors, but by entering this competition, you agree to allow your image(s) to be shown as part of the Shutters Open 2009 winners exhibition at the Shetland Museum and Archives and in connection with future Shutters Open competitions and Doors Open Days publicity.
