<dc:title>St Nicholas Parish Church</dc:title>
<dc:description>
St Nicholas Church dominates the foot of Lanark High Street. It was built in 1774 on the site of the 12th century chapel. Above the main entrance is a statue of William Wallace by Robert Forrest, 1820.

The tower and its bell formerly belonged to the Royal Burgh of Lanark and are now the property of South Lanarkshire Council. The interior of the church boasts many fine stained glass windows dating from the 19th Century and the roof is supported by an unbroken span of timber beams. External restoration from 2008 - 2010.
</dc:description>
