Originally the royal burgh’s ‘High Gait’ the street was transformed in
the nineteenth century to be the jewel in Stirling’s commercial crown
with banks, large commercial retailers and well-known hotels. This
walk in King Street will provide an insight into the architectural legacy
of this period. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walk.
