Title

Sunnyside Royal Hospital

Description

Founded in 1781 by Susan Carnegie, it was originally called the Montrose Lunatic Asylum, Infirmary, and Dispensary. It was brought under NHS control in 1948, and in 1962 it became the Sunnyside Royal Hospital. The hospital closed in 2011 but the building still stands. The tour is a 360ยบ photograph from the outside of the abandoned hospital Accessibility note: The hospital itself is not open to the public, but the grounds around it are fairly uneven and grassy.
