Kelvingrove Museum

Description

The gallery opened in 1901 as the Palace of Fine Arts. Built around its large Centre Hall, the museum houses a wide ranging collection of art, arms, and natural history items across 22 galleries. The museum also holds the Salvador Dali painting ‘Christ of St John of the Cross’ from 1951 which shows the crucified Jesus hovering over a dark body of water. The tour consists of a set of 360º images of the interior and exterior of that gallery, showing the suspended Spitfire aircraft. Accessibility note: There is level access and accessible parking and a hearing loop.
