Durn House is a Georgian mansion house in the Adams style, built in 1770 by the Dunbar's? of Durn.? There has been a Durn House on this site since at least 1529 and probably before.? Bought by Mr and Mrs Scrudis, Durn House underwent a major restoration and refurbishment project, lasting 6 years and now operates as a luxury guest house.
Durn House has an exciting history, with strong attachments to the story of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Battle of Culloden, as well as the folk song McPherson's?Rant.?
