Super User Omeka MetsExport Plugin The software used to generate this document is called Omeka MetsExport, which operates as a plugin for Omeka. Documentation can be found at http://github/MetsExport/ Kennetpans Distillery Kennetpans was formed by the monks of Kennetpans Monastery and was a salt panning community. The local farmers learned how to distil from the monastery and in the 1730s it was the largest distillery in Scotland. In the 1770s a second distillery was opened by the brother of the original founder, John Stein. The site is now in ruins, having ceased function in 1825. The tour gives an aerial view of the ruins and the area around them with information points across the landscape.
