Arbroath’s Signal Tower Museum, near Arbroath Harbour, was the shore station and family accommodation for the Bell Rock Lighthouse which stands 11 miles off-shore. The tower was used as a simple method of communication between the lighthouse and the on-shore station. Today, the tower room provides spectacular views over Arbroath and the North Sea, including the Bell Rock Lighthouse on a clear day.
