Built in 1832 as a Reformed Presbyterian (Cameronian) Church, it is the second oldest church in use in Ayr. The sword on the main gate recalls the Cameronians' origins in the militant covenanting tradition. Free Church of Scotland since 1876, halls added 1930s, extended 1990s.
