Beith: Former Trinity Church

Dublin Core

Title

Beith: Former Trinity Church

Description

Former UP church by Robert Baldie, 1883 with graceful 80ft octagonal tower.  After a fire in 1917 it was rebuilt and extended in 1926. It returned to the Church of Scotland in 1929.  Following the union of June 2011, it is due to close at a later date.  The furnishings are a superb example of the former furniture trade for which Beith was famous.
