Severe storms on 25 January 1759 resulted in damage to gable end and loss of roof.  Interesting carvcings and inscriptions, including Janet McFadzean, the wife of a soldier who died aged 27 in 1761; and David Hameltonne, 1619 who is thought to be the man who slew the Regent Moray in 1570.
