Built in the 1750s for infamous local smuggler John Nisbet and designed by John Adam, Gunsgreen House is a fine category A listed Georgian building dominating the harbour.

Newly restored by the Gunsgreen House Trust, the �House of Secrets� tells the story of smuggling in Eyemouth and the east of Scotland through exciting displays ranging from the hidden tea chute to the dark barrel filled cellars. The upper part of the house has been restored as a merchant�s house complete with appropriate internal decoration and furnishings.
