Description

A large mansion which now converted into a Youth Hostel. Once owned by the well-known solicitor and archaeologist James Curle. From 1905-10 Curle directed the archaeological dig of the site now known as Trimontium that had lain untouched for about 1,700 years. Originally Priorwood Gardens (now in the ownership of the National Trust for Scotland) also belonged to the house.
