Title

Tullibody Community Garden

Description

Tullibody Community Garden is run by the charity Tullibody Healthy Living. The garden is cultivated by volunteers, who gain valuable horticultural skills, as well as growing affordable fruit and vegetables to encourage local people to create fresh, healthy meals. The volunteers have brought a wide range of skills to the project; some had no vegetable gardening experience at all, while others have lots of experience as amateurs or professional gardeners. Many of them are unemployed and volunteering helps them in a number of ways, boosting confidence, getting them out of the house and keeping them physically active. It is also a great opportunity for everyone to make use of their own knowledge and skills.
