Follow the river valleys northwards to find the Cairns at Dunesslin, the Penpont Cairn and the dramatically sited 'Touchstone North' at Crairiepark near Thornhill, a large scale upright stone circle: a touchstone between Penpont and Pole, a landmark that will orientate north.
